This is her first presentation with a bladder tumour, right? In the light of her quite serious underlying disease, I would treat her gently. If available I would have combined the diagnostic/therapeutic TUR with NdYAG laser indepth coagulation. Then doing a check-up in three months. In spite of the patient being an M.D. and having a grandfather dying of bladder cancer.
