Yes, I find there is much truth in the issue of one's attitude. There is a very recent Swedish Ph D & MD thesis work by a friend of mine, Goran Ahlgren. It deals with using monocell DNA analysis as a prognostic means to sort out those patients above 60-65 suffering a low malignance grade (not necessarily following differentiation or Gleason grade) where metastatic disease is unlikely to occur. I'll try to get a few copies of it to send to you. This is quite early work, but not far from gaining clinical significance.
I believe thinking twice and refraining from RRP is often in the interest of the patient, even if some colleagues (and patients?) might find this cowardly...
