It would be worth doing a study on these group of shrunken bladders. I suspect most of
these reductions are functional rather than anatomical - either because the increased
sensory urgency making it uncomfortable for the patient, or the bladder just refuse to
relax. Of course some of these bladders are stiff/fibrosed because of inflammatory
infiltration or neocollagenisation. I think a series of documentation of histopathological
finding and CMG on these patients would be quite enlightening. I imagine those
functionally shrunken bladders would yield more readily then those anatomically shrunken
bladders.
