Turner-Warwick taught me to wait till the up-and-downogram shows that the base of the
bladder has settled to the level of the pubis. If the boney alignment is not too far off,
TW's experience that given time, the hematoma etc will resolve and the bladder base will
settle. The 4 cm or whatever it is, is often an inaccurate assessment of the length. Would
love to see his up-and-downogram to comment. 1 month post injury for such a severe injury
is by all standards too early to go in for a posterior urethroplasty. Suggest you repeat
the studies in another month's time.
