Why was the right ureter normal on the initial IVU? I could think of the following
possible explanations:
Further pelvic sepsis which later caused the faecal fistula as well as the right ureter to
fistulate.
Distal right ureteric obstruction had developed (I could not cannulate the right ureter) -
but why?
I supposed the right ureter could had been damaged during the re-implantation of the left,
but I would have thought this is very unlikely!
Any other offers?
